GOLD SCONCES

The custom furnishings in the dining area of this West Village apartment include a table and a banquette upholstered in Maharam fabrics, The Thonet chairs are classic, the barstool is by Gubi, the sconces are by Areti, the wallcovering is Work + Sea's Watercolor Stripe and the artworks include bits by Wardell Milan, John Register, and Jeff Lewis.

TOLE CHANDELIER

In the kitchen of fashion designer Veronica Swanson Beard's Long Island house, the seats, with cushions in a Schumacher stripe, and dining table are by McGuire, the tole chandelier is classic, and the floor is oak, reno kitchen plus.

Painted Pendant

To add to a period house's tasteful kitchen, designer Nina Farmer customized an Urban Electric Co. pendant. A coat of Farrow & Ball's Stony Ground ties the fixture to the rest of the room that is subdued.

BURSTING PENDANT

The dining table and seats are by DimoreStudio, the Sputnik ceiling lighting is by Fedele Papagni, and the marble flooring is original to the 1970s construction in this Monte Carlo apartment. The artworks from the dining room are by Pierre Le-Tan.
